About the Job

The Government of Montserrat is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of ICT Officer within the ICT Unit in the Ministry of Communication, Works, Labour and Energy, Government of Montserrat.




Responsible for assisting the ICT Coordinator to manage the successful implementation and execution of the National ICT policy, Strategy and Implementation Plan guided and supported by the National ICT council. and make positive changes.



            Provide administrative support with ICT related functions.

            Organise materials and visuals to publicize the programs and activities, such as videos, posters and other publications.

        Assist with the effective communication of information to the public through various mediums to include but not limited to social media, radio, website etc.

      Develop ICT programmes and projects in line with the NICT Policy, Strategy and Implementation Plan and oversee the implementation.

          Coordinate activities to recognize important local and regional ICT events, to include communicating with local and overseas ICT partners to make logistical and other arrangements to make the event successful.

           Assist in preparing financial reports; 

           Perform any other related duties as required by ICT Coordinator.



The applicants should have:

            An Associate Degree in ICT, Computer Science or a related field 

            Relevant practical experience in the field of ICT

            Experience in organising events of varying size, developing projects and programmes

        The ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing, to work systematically and carefully with an eye for detail, and to respect different views and opinions.

            Have an up to date Police Check and Driver’s License





The total annual remuneration package for the post of ICT Officer:


         Basic Salary in the salary scale R22 – 16 i.e. $ 50,976 - $ 60,480 per annum (taxable)

         Allowance: Travelling EC$9600.00 p.a. (non-taxable)



Appointment will be made a permanent basis.
